About Roche Bros. Supermarkets

Pat and Bud Roche opened the first Roche Bros. in 1952 in Roslindale. This first meat and produce store expanded in 1957 to include groceries. From there, the company grew with the opening of stores in Needham and West Roxbury. In 1970, Westwood opened as the first 'department concept' for merchandising, adding a bakery, florist and restaurant to make shopping more enjoyable for customers. In 2014, we introduced our newest store concept, Brothers Marketplace, now open in Medfield and Weston. These new small-format stores are walking-friendly neighborhood markets, joining the corner grocery store of days gone by with today’s passion for seasonal eating and lovingly crafted and artisan foods.

That’s Brothers Marketplace – a neighborhood market featuring a handpicked selection of fresh foods, local products, delicious prepared meals, and all your grocery essentials. Now, sixteen Roche Bros., including our newest in Boston’s Downtown Crossing, three Sudbury Farms, and two Brothers Marketplace stores make up our family owned supermarkets and continue to earn respect nationally for innovative ideas, the freshest foods and the highest levels of personal service.
